What the December 2010 Blizzard Looks Like from Space

The blizzard of December 2010 dumped piles of snow across the Northeast – as much as 32 inches in some places.

NASA snapped this image of the storm's aftermath, showing snow deep from western Pennsylvania (but not the central part of the state) through Maine.

Clouds in the image are hard to distinguish from snow, but can be recognized by their texture. Look at the white clouds over the Atlantic to train your eyes. Scroll down for the image.
