Forest Fire, Montana

July 10, 2006. Just outside Columbus, MT, which is between Bozeman and Billings. As you can see, I first saw the mushroom cloud and then eventually got close enough to see the flames. The fire burned down almost to the highway. Montana has been experiencing a terrible drought for a few years now and the forest are in a very bad shape.
