A Common Sight in St. Bernard

I found this boat upon my arrival to Louisiana in February 2006. The floods, after Hurricane Katrina have brought it there. It is August 2006 now, and the boat still sits in the median, lost to the higher priorities of rebuilding the wrecked coastline. The entire parish of 25,000 homes was flooded after Hurricane Katrina. St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana February 2006.
