This photo, from a camera trap, shows a grizzly bear wandering through the Alaskan Arctic.

Camera traps are used to study animal behavior without affecting them. The cameras are triggered by motion and snap pictures of animals in their natural habitats. In this case, the Wildlife Conservation Society was studying the effect of human energy development on the predation of ground-nesting birds.
