The International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas voted against increasing quotas for bluefin tuna, a move hailed by WWF as a science-based decision necessary to preserve dwindling stocks of the lucrative fish in the Mediterranean and Eastern Atlantic Oceans.

There will still e 13,500 tons of bluefin tuna caught and sold, legally, under the regulations. And unreported illegal fishing is still a concern.
