When Shell talks about offshore oil drilling in the Arctic, which the company still plans to start this summer, according to recent reports, this is the landscape at issue. The Beaufort Sea, pictured here, along with the Chukchi Sea are the areas to be explored, if permits are granted and lawsuits by environmental or native groups fail to stop it.
