A fast-moving storm will hit the Northeast today with snow totals in the 6- to 12-inch range. The storm will start this morning in southern New York, northern Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey and move east into southern New England later in the day.
The Midwest will be hit with heavy snow as well. Predictions of over a foot of snow and significant icing are expected.
Storms have been hitting some unusual places last week in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi, where it hasn't snowed since 2004. This week Las Vegas got over 3 inches of snow, breaking the record from 1967.
I wonder if the photos of the famous Vegas sign surrounded by snow are the weirdest winter shots we'll see this season, or if there are more weird weather on the way?
Our winter flipbook will be up later today, and we'd love to have your photos of local wintry conditions weird or wonderful to add to it.
Stay warm out there and send your photos here.
