Vote Earth! And Send Us the Proof

Earth Hour is this Saturday. Remember to turn off your lights, and send us your photos here.

Earth Hour was started in 2007 by World Wildlife Fund, and that year 2.2 million homes and business turned off their lights for one hour in Australia. In 2008 the message of Earth Hour had gone global and 50 million turned out the lights. The concept for this year's Earth Hour is to create a global election, "Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming," according to EarthHour.org. This year's Earth Hour logo was designed by graphic artist Shepard Fairly, he designed the iconic Obama print that started all those issues with the AP.

This year Earth Hour is Saturday March 28, 2009, from 8:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. local time. What will you be doing? We've got some of our own romantic ideas, but we're excited to see what you might come up with to do with the lights off. But only send us the PG stuff please!

Check out what TDG did during last year's Earth Hour.
