Collared Peccary
Not a wild pig. The collared peccary moved into the American SW in the 1700's from South & Central America. Locally it's called a Javelina. It has a very good sense of smell but very poor eyesight.
Hiwassee River at Reliance, TN
Looking upstream from the railroad bridge at Reliance, TN. The Hiwassee is a popular kayak and funyak ride. The river is only available at certain times as it is used for hydro-electric power production by TVA.
