I just got this instant message from a buddy of mine over at Businesspundit (they do cool stuff by the way, so check them out. The owner is pretty green, too.) Anyway I thought it was pretty funny, and it did remind me to stay safe in the summer sun, in more ways than one.
Lyme disease is no laughing matter, obviously, especially since some of us on staff have been affected by it. Skunks sometimes can give us problems, too.
So be safe, but enjoy the outdoors!
The purported email:
*TICK WARNING!*
I hate it when people forward bogus warnings, and I have even done it myself a couple times unintentionally... but this one is real, and it's important. So please send this warning to everyone on your e-mail list.
This is the time of year to think of ticks once again. If someone comes to your front door saying they are checking for ticks due to the warm weather and asks you to take your clothes off and dance around with your arms up, DO NOT DO IT!! THIS IS A SCAM!! They only want to see you naked. I wish I'd gotten this yesterday.* I feel so stupid.*
Not quite as insidious as the Prius and other car scammers, but pretty naughty there boys, pretty naughty. Have a good weekend.
