Healthy Honey Tea Bread

This delicious bread bakes up in about 45 minutes.

SERVINGS
Makes one 9 x 5-inch loaf

INGREDIENTS
1 cup unbleached white flour
2/3 cup hard white whole wheat flour
1/3 wheat germ
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup honey
1/3 cup brewed tea
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 egg

PREPARATION
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan, or line it with parchment paper.

2. Combine the flours, wheat germ, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and baking powder in a small bowl. Beat the remaining ingredients In a large bowl, until well blended, then whisk in the flour mixture 1/2 cup at a time, incorporating well before each new addition.

3. Spoon into the prepared pan and bake for 45 minutes, or until a tester comes out clean. Let the bread rest for a few minutes, then remove it from the pan and cool on a wire rack.
