Nativa grows nearly 750 acres of organic grapes in Chile, and it's won numerous awards for its single-vineyard gran reserva cabernet sauvignon. We tasted its 2009 Nativa Terra Reserva Carmenère, after learning this world-renowned grape, grown almost exclusively in Chile. Nativa says its Terra Reserva reds feature soft tannins that remain "robust enough to accompany a fine meal." We can tell you it tasted pretty good on its own, after a day of exploring the Catskills, too! ($11 at skyviewwine.com).
