For World Food Day (Oct. 16) Save the Children has created this eye-opening quiz about food. Here's what the organization has to say:
According to the organization, the vast majority of developing countries have reduced child hunger rates since 1990, and while 62 of 118 nations are on track to meet U.N. Millenium Development Goal of cutting childhood hunger rates in half by 2015, that leaves 56 countries that won't meet the goal. The total number of malnourished people actually increased in recent years, thanks to the global recession, volatile food prices and extreme weather.
