Half of Fast-Food Restaurant Workers Don't Wash Hands

In case the salt and the calories, and the environmental impact of all that meat production weren't enough to get you to put the brakes on your fast food habit, how about a gigantic "yuck"?

A federal study found that more than half of fast-food employees don't wash their hands after using the bathroom, according to a report in the Quad-City Times. They don't wear gloves properly either.

Yuck.

It probably shouldn't be a shocker that the kids behind the counter, paid minimum wage and probably hating every minute of their greasy shift, aren't diligent about cleanliness. Shocked or not, it's another good reason to make dinner at home tonight.
