Olivier Olive Oil Products, Inc. is recalling its jars of Olivier brand Parmesan & Asiago Dip With Garlic & Basil because they could contain the bacteria that causes botulism, an often deadly food-borne illness. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that the recall includes 11.76-ounce jars of the cheese dip that were sold at Williams-Sonoma stores across the country, as well as at two Olivier Napa Valley retail stores in California. Olivier Olive Oil Products, Inc. is based in St. Helena, CA.

The recall is for these lot codes, on the side of the jar without a label: OPA 34171, OPA 23471, OAP 17271, OAP 17671, OAP 36061, OAP 36161 and OPA 33961.

Though no cases of illness have been reported, the Georgia Agriculture Commissioner is advising consumers not to eat the product even if it doesn't look or smell spoiled.
