This is simple but delicious and such a summertime treat.
1 pound strawberries
1/8 cup sugar
1 tablespoon almond extract (exclude if using Almond Torani)
Vanilla ice cream
1. Wash and hull the strawberries and then slice. Place about 1/4 of the strawberry slices in a blender and puree. Blend in sugar and almond extract. Adjust amount of sugar to your taste.
2. Place a scoup of vanilla ice cream in each of 4 bowls and top with the cut strawberries. Pour the puree over the ice cream and berries and serve.
