That Round 70’s Chair ($35)

As I like to say, "If that chair could talk, I bet it would moan a lot and only talk while inhaling." Okay, it may not appeal to everyone’s taste, but I love it. And, like with many items I buy at thrift stores, I got an even better price on it by simply asking for an additional discount. Since the store manager admitted that the chair had been in the store for some time without any expressing interest in it (I can’t understand why), when I asked if he could do any better on the price, he immediately knocked off $25 and helped me load it in the car. As I wrote in my last book, "attempting to negotiate a better deal on things can often be kind of fun and save you some serious bucks." Yep, I saved more than enough to buy a black light and a felt poster of Jimi Hendrix.
