My 6 Best Thrift Store Finds
With these tips, you too may find yourself the proud owner of "That 70's Chair" ... or better yet, the $7 painting worth $1,200. By Jeff Yeager
Bronze Statue ($55)
There are plenty of steals and deals to be found at thrift stores all across the country. Here are some of my all-time best thrift store finds and some tips on how to find the best bargains.
It's possible to find special and one-of-a-kind items like this statue at local thrift stores, but rummaging around multiple stores for that special something can burn up a lot of time and gasoline. Fortunately the folks at Goodwill Industries have made the treasure hunting easier than ever. Goodwill now has its own online auction site www.shopgoodwill.com - where thrift stores from around the country auction off interesting items (e.g. art, antiques, etc.) that have been donated. It's a neat way to treasure hunt without ever leaving your home and support a good cause in the process.
