7 Makit & Bakit and Suncatcher Jewelry Sets Recalled

QuinCrafts of Dexter, Mich. is recalling seven Makit & Bakit and Suncatcher children's jewelry making sets (four pictured here) because clasps on some of the jewelry contains high levels of lead that can be toxic if swallowed. Lead exposure can lead to permanent brain damage, with symptoms ranging from lowered IQ to behavioral problems.
Made in China, the children's jewelry was sold in a variety of sets that contained necklace, bracelet and earring or ring combinations. They were sold at AC Moore, CVS, LTD Commodities, Marshall's/TJ Maxx, Michaels Corp. and other toy and independent craft supply stores nationwide from August 2007 through March 2008 for about $2.
