Eco-Spa

We think of a spa as a place to go to relax our bodies, calm our minds and renew ourselves. Now there is a growing number of spas that take that process a step further and are dedicated to the principle that personal health and renewal begins with global health.

For them the personal and the planetary are intertwined. And while every eco-spa offers its own interpretation of what that means, in general they provide a range of treatments with organic and biodynamic products, from aromatherapy, masks and wraps to hydrotherapy, hot stone massage, guided meditation and more, in a facility that itself favors eco-sensitive materials. The philosophy is to approach the spa experience in a holistic way, limiting the use of packaging and plastics, bleached products, chlorinated and antibacterial water processing, and using nontoxic cleaning supplies. By keeping nature in balance and channeling that energy, you will be in balance too.
