Do a Two-Gallon Car Wash
It's Not Hard to Save Water

Get set up with a two-gallon pale full of clear water and a one-liter yogurt-like container of soapy water.
Get a second one-liter container to ladle rinsing water from the main pale in well-controlled amounts. Then all you need is a little exercise in the sun with a brush and rags. I do it all the time.
