Easy Quilting With Scrap Fabric
Here's a simple tip with newspaper and leftover fabric.

To make a quilt top out of scrap fabrics, use a technique commonly called "strip piecing." Instead of a backing fabric, cut newspaper to the size of the blocks and draw the pattern on it. Then sew the fabric onto the newspaper pattern, rip off the newspaper and sew the blocks together to make the quilt top.
