Reuse Plastic Bags for Kitty Litter

I use plastic bags from previous shopping trips to put used kitty litter in (and the daily scooping of the litterbox).
This is my way of reusing those bags, but is there a more green way to dispose of the litter? I have tried different kinds of litter and have found the only kind agreeable to both myself and the kitty is the clumpable kind.
