Why Can't We Get the High Gas Mileage They Already Enjoy in Europe?
Ford and others could learn from their own UK divisions

The Ford Focus in the UK gets an estimated combined gas mileage of 65.7 mpg, plus lower emissions than anything in the U.S. (VW's get over 70 mpg there.)
How about putting people before oil interests here for a change instead of poor performance hybrids and questionable battery systems and durability? Keep it simple stupid!
