Collect Clean Shower Water

Why let it go to waste when you are waiting for the right temperature?

Living in the southeast I have had to find ways to conserve water while still enjoying my flower garden. I think that if each of us do this we can save at least a little water.

Place a bucket (you will need to be able to lift it full) under the shower faucet while you are waiting for the water to get warm, and then use that water for your plants. It's water that would normally just go down the drain anyway, so why not?

With three people in my house taking showers at least three times a week, we have enough water in our bucket to water all of our indoor and outdoor plants. If you have somewhere to store the extra water you could even get enough in a week's time to wash your car. Anyhoo, just doing my bit to help out.
