This isn't one of those changes that can save the world. But it will save a deserving animal -- which could make a world of difference to its life, and to yours.

In the United States alone, about seven million unwanted dogs and cats are euthanized each year. The vast majority of these creatures are healthy and adoptable, destroyed simply for lack of suitable homes.

Are you considering a companion animal? Why not give a rescued animal a chance? Local shelters, veterinarians, breed groups, and humane societies are wonderful places to find an eager forever friend.
