Garden with Native Plants

You'll see many benefits, from using less water to attracting wildlife

Garden with plants that are native to your community, region or state. Native plants are better suited to your climate, usually require less water than the non-natives, require no pesticides and, best of all, many attract wildlife like hummingbirds (and other birds) and butterflies.

To find a nursery that carries native plants in your area, you can check with your local native plant society. The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center has a list of nurseries across the country.
