I've heard a lot of discussion on the carbon footprint of cloth vs. disposable diapers. The theory being manufacturing a disposable takes less energy than washing a cloth diaper. I think the landfilling of the result should be a green factor too. Here's what I do: - cloth diapers, unbleached - wash cold (during the day, more wind energy where I am) - line dry (no dryer) Also, living on an island, there's less shipping of disposable diapers. Of course, the detergent gets shipped in. But the landfill impact is a lot less. RG, Hawaii
