Parents and students can have an impact on schools. My children go to school in Katonah, New York, where a group of parents changed the school district's menus, food sold in vending machines, and even brought a farmers' market to the high school.

I was so impressed I joined up with the group Better School Food to help replicate the efforts nationwide. Check out our website, join the movement, and you, too, can make a difference.
