On the market today are great-looking backpacks and messenger bags that are actually small mobile solar power plants. Flexible solar panels harness the sun's power to create enough electricity to charge items such as 12-volt mobile electronics. Attached to the bags are lighter sockets like the one in your car. All that's needed is a car lighter adapter and some sunny skies. But not to worry — the bags even work on cloudy days, although it might take a bit longer for them to charge your batteries. A great way to reduce your carbon footprint and still stay juiced.
