Today Whole Foods stores nationwide will start selling a new bag designed by the model and niece of President Bush, Lauren Bush. This is the second design in her "FEED" bag line. 37,000 bags were sold of the original design, which was available on Amazon for $59.99. The "FEED" bags use the proceeds of purchases to feed hungry children in developing nations through the UN World Food Program.
With one purchase of the new bag, called "FEED 100," you will provide 100 school meals to children. It is designed to be more suitable for everyday shopping trips and has a more everyday price tag of $29.99. It is made of 100% organic cotton and sustainable burlap and zips into a small pouch, which can be stored in a day bag and used on a shopping trip instead of a plastic bag.
