For the third time this winter, tornadoes touched down in the American South Tuesday. Georgia suffered as much as $10 million in insurance losses from the latest round of strong storms, not all of them tornadoes, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
While earlier outbreaks of tornadoes across the South and Mississippi Valley states were unusual because they came so early in the season, Georgia is entering tornado season, when warmer Spring air currents can unleash wicked winds.
