While neither is expected to cause significant damage or reach hurricane strength, two new tropical storms have formed within hours of one another in the Pacific Ocean.

Tropical Storm Boris is in the Eastern Pacific, near Baja California. Headed west and weakening, it is not expected to make landfall, according to forecasts from the Joint Typhoon Warning Center and the National Hurricane Center.

Tropical Storm Cristina is heading west toward Hawaii, but is also expected to lose strength before reaching the islands, according to forecasts.

The second and third named storms of the eastern north pacific hurricane season, Boris and Cristina followed Alma in late May.
