Given that the Camry Hybrid’s drivetrain is based on the Prius hybrid system—with Toyota’s reputation for reliability—it only makes sense that rental companies would choose the Camry for their fleets. There is very little difference between the Camry and Altima Hybrids in fuel economy, so the choice will come down to styling preferences and what’s available when you get to the rental desk.
