Toy Story 3 Bowling Sets (May 2011)

About 600 Toy Story 3 Bowling Games made in China and sold at Walmart are being recalled by G.A. Gertmenian and Sons because the red paint on the bowling pins contains excessive lead. The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall May 5.

The Toy Story 3 Bowling Game Rugs are marked with JA 148. The recalled item contains six white plastic bowling pins with two red stripes painted on the necks, one black plastic ball, and a 68x26-inch nylon game rug with a print of the character Buzz Lightyear on the front. The batch marking JA 148 appears on the bottom front of the packaging just above the bar code, and is also located on the tag attached to the rug. (Click "View Larger" under the photo for placement of the code on the packaging.) The games were sold for about $18 at Walmarts nationwide from in September 2010.

For a replacement game or additional questions, parents should call G.A. Gertmenian and Sons at (888) 224-4181, 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. PT Monday through Friday, or email Gertmenian@Gertmenian.com.
