In Latest Round of Tests, 10 of 13 Toys Have Low Levels of Toxic Stuff (But Those Other 3...)

The Ecology Center recently tested 13 toys at the request of the public, and found that most were safe. Here are the results, with the toys of concern at top, and the clean-testing toys at bottom:

High Level of Contaminants

• Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway, by Gordon Learning Curve. Tests showed high levels of bromine, medium levels of lead, and low levels of arsenic.

Some Contaminants Detected at Low Levels

• Laugh & Learn Learning Home, by Fisher-Price. Tests showed low lead levels.
• Ocean Wonders Kick & Crawl Aquarium, by Fisher-Price. Tests showed medium levels of chlorine.

No Contaminants Detected
