Plastic Pollution in Ocean Is Affecting Fish
There is enough information regarding the 3 Trillion tons of plastics produced every year that ends up in the oceans and beaches. Tiny particles are breaking down in the water and fish, birds, turtles, dolphins, whales, seals are all dying from it. Its nice to know about organic food, and how "wild salmon" is better than farmed salmon.....but ban plastics period. These materials only become more toxic when recycled. Organic food or beauty products should NOT BE contained in little bottles, or wrapped, or packaged in the hideous materials that is going to kill us all.

Question about spinach - I have read that there is a very high oxalate content in spinach, that these oxalates bind with calcium and keep the body from absorbing it. Spinach has been touted time and again as being a great health food, but if it is blocking calcium absorption, is that the case? Personally I like heartier greens.
With regard to the comment on salmon, I agree with both sides - farmed salmon is nasty stuff full of chemicals and dyes and who knows what else. The problem Luses mentioned with the depletion of wild salmon populations indicates a trend which we humans will have to address with regard to environmental problems, energy issues, and the population. It has been said that our population and our practices are not sustainable, and the wild salmon question leads to a much larger question.
With regard to the chocolate issue mentioned by Subdued, whom I agree with, the old adage "everything in moderation" is a key one.

delicious delicious chocolate: green, fair trade, regenerative practices!
My favorite chocolate bar comes in a little wax paper package and is packed w/ nutrients, antioxidants and medicinal herbs. It is produced small scale by the wonderful, caring, earth conscious folks at the Botanical Preservation Corps. Check out the raw cacao bars (listed: Cacao Raw Bar "medicinal chocolate bar" and read up on the benefits of cacao while you are there!

Additionally the sell all sorts of other super foods including some great infused honeys! I love this company and have been satisfied with all my interactions with them.
Enjoy!

Wild Caught Salmon
For a website which is supposed to be all about taking it easy on the planet, I find your recommendation to choose wild caught salmon over farmed to be totally irresponsible. Wild salmon populations have crashed due to over fishing and spawning habitat loss. The amount of wild fish has decreased so rapidly, that even native populations which depend on this fish for sustenance cannot catch enough to carry them over a winter. We must give the wild populations a break in order for them to recover, and we will never again be able to fish them at the unsustainable level we have been. We need farmed fish. It's not about whether the fish is farmed or not, but how. Supporting small fish farmers who use sustainable practices (Bay of Fundy salmon farms, for example) will encourage more fish farmers to use these practices and prevent our oceans from becoming watery deserts.

Chocolate
Okay so I'm not sure why my web address is not posting but you can email me at john_opg@hotmail.com
This chocolate can make you go to the bathroom for about the first week...only if your eating it the 3 times a day (which is what is recommended), because it is regulating your system. I've heard that if you will give it a week then you will begin to go normal.
