Have you ever walked or driven over a bridge, only to feel disheartened by trash floating by, or washed up on the banks?

American Rivers wants you to do something about it. The river conservation organization organizes community cleanups around the country, and its cleanup season is just beginning.

Use AmericanRivers.org/cleanup to organize a cleanup or volunteer for an existing cleanup.

Last year, more than 300,000 volunteers picked up more than 2,400 tons of trash and debris.

It's an easy way to help out, heed President Obama's call to serve local communities, and beautify the local environment. Plan to join a cleanup this year in your community!
