Listen to the Sequel to An Inconvenient Truth

Al Gore's new book, Our Choice (Rodale, $22.49) promises to start where his influential An Inconvenient Truth left off.

"An Inconvenient Truth reached millions of people with the message that the climate crisis is threatening the future of human civilization and that it must and can be solved," Gore has been quoted as saying. "Now that the need for urgent action is even clearer with the alarming new findings of the last three years, it is time for a comprehensive global plan that actually solves the climate crisis. Our Choice will answer that call."

Profits from the book will flow to the organization Gore founded with the proceeds of An Inconvenient Truth and his 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. That organization, the Alliance for Climate Protection, has been busy lobbying, advertising and otherwise trying to influence the debate about global warming legislation in Congress.
