Miley Cyrus Steps Up Going Green

Red hot teen star Miley Cyrus has told us that she is committed to serving as a positive role model, from helping fellow youths achieve their potential to banging around town in her own adorable Smart car and advocating for care for the planet.

"Hannah Montana" is also a vegetarian, though she apparently doesn't like vegetables.

Most recently, Miley Cyrus has been receiving green laurels for her new eco-anthem. As Ecorazzi puts it, "The song, titled ‘Wake up America,’ is a break from the standard, 'he broke up with me, I hate school' tween angst ridden tracks we are used to hearing from these pop-tarts. Lyrics tell us to ‘Wake up America, we’re all in this together, It’s our home so let’s take care of it.’"

In addition to her Fortwo, Miley is a fan of uber green bicycling. Former TDG staffer Olivia Zaleski has a good shot of Cyrus on two wheels over at Huffington Post. In fact, Zaleski put together a very impressive list of luminaries on bikes, including Albert Einstein, Al Sharpton, Russell Simons, Barack Obama, Lindsay Lohan, the Clintons, and a great shot of HuffPo blogger Daryl Hannah "Not Montana" with Richard Branson.
