Eco-Entrepreneur Transforms Middle School Lunch

Boy Wonder Catches Attention of Laurie David and Al Gore

By Olivia Zaleski

Hunter Gross is not your typical entrepreneur. To start, he’s only 12 years old. He also cares — a lot — about the environment.

Concerned and motivated, Hunter recently launched his first venture, Project Kool Inc. According to Newsday, the company designs and sells reusable canvas lunch bags. The bags are meant as an alternative to disposable plastic and paper lunch bags brought, daily, to elementary school cafeterias nationwide.

As word of the pint-sized eco-entrepreneur spreads, both Laurie David and Al Gore have ordered bags for themselves and their office staff. With so much attention, Hunter is bound to inspire young people to make small changes that make a big difference ... and a bit of money too.
