Firefighters expect to fully contain the Corral Fire, which has destroyed at least 53 homes near Malibu since Saturday.

The fire, whipped up by dry, hot Santa Ana "Devil Winds," is reminiscent of the many wildfires that claimed homes last month. The winds contributed to both fire events.

The Corral Fire near Malibu was about 75% contained as of Sunday evening. It had burned 4,720 acres, according to California fire statistics.
