Launched on Earth Day in 2007, The Daily Green has fast become one of the largest and most respected Websites focused on environmental issues of interest to a general public. Aiming to be "the consumer's guide to the green revolution," The Daily Green is a leading destination for daily environmental news, tips, recipes, photos, video, blogs, community and more. The Website was honored with the Best New Site award for 2008 by min (Media Industry Newsletter). The site is published by the Digital Media unit of Hearst Magazines.
The Daily Green seeks editorial interns for summer, fall and spring terms. Interns must earn college credit and should expect to work roughly 20 hours a week. It is unpaid. Editorial interns will have the opportunity to produce original content for one of the Web's most successful and innovative environmental media sites.
Interns should be organized and self-starters. A strong writing/journalism background is recommended, as well as an interest in environmental issues. Basic HTML skills and familiarity with content management systems and social media is helpful but not required.
