The Daily Green was invited to discuss indoor air pollution on ABC News Now this morning. Jackie Hyland interviewed Dan Shapley about the Six Surprising Sources of Air Pollution in the Home:

• Air Purifiers, which can release harmful ozone.
• Paint, which can release volatile organic compounds if you don't choose no-VOC paint
• Carpets, which can release formaldehyde and other contaminants (look for low-VOC alternative flooring)
• Cleansers, which can contain noxious chemicals (look for green alternatives, or make your own green cleaners)
• Furniture, countertops and cabinets made from particle board, which also can release formaldehyde (check out these alternative countertops and furniture)
• Gas stoves, which can produce nitrogen dioxide at unhealthy levels if not properly ventilated
