Almost as venerable as the Toyota Prius at this point, the Honda Civic Hybrid is a tried and true, well-heeled efficiency champ. Sporting the same looks as the conventional Civic, it's not going to win any beauty contests—but then again it isn't going to turn anybody off either.
With more than 40 mpg in combined city and highway driving, the Civic doesn't quite reach the Prius' lofty efficiency heights, but it's a solid contender.
