In 2010, the great Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, and promised us six more weeks of winter.
What will the groundhog tell us about winter this year? A big winter snowstorm could influence the decision, as much of the eastern half of the country will get walloped Wednesday, just in time for Groundhog Day.
Not to worry. If Punxsutawney gets the 3-7 inches of snow that are predicted, Phil's fame has inspired may wannabe rodent weather forecasters. There are so many purported weather-marmots, in fact, that it's easy to get confused.
Or, at least, we're hoping it's easy to get confused. That's the whole point of this fun quiz, which my colleague Brian Clark Howard wrote. See if you can smoke the right groundhog out of its hole (and please, if you do, let him roam around so we can end winter sooner; if he sees his shadow, it's six more long weeks of winter chill and blowing snow for us.)
Enjoy the quiz!
