Many people have high hopes that the green movement will create many new businesses and jobs. One very important aspect of any economy is small businesses, and the green economy is no different. Green entrepreneurs will lead America by creating the jobs of the future.

There has been a lot of focus on how green jobs will play an important role as we exit the recession. And these jobs are being created by entrepreneurs. There are two kinds of green entrepreneurs. The first is the individual who takes an existing industry and sees how that business can be made green. The second is the person who sees a green idea and creates a business from the idea. Both are important and create jobs, though the latter, in particular, is creating the jobs of the future. For example, electric cars have been around for a long time. However, until recently the thought of them taking over the road was only a pipe dream. Along came Shai Agassi with a company called Better Place, perhaps poised to create a new car industry.

Agassi took the idea for electric cars a step further. Better Place created a system in which someone can drive their electric car up to a battery changing system. In a few minutes, the car has a new battery and the person drives away. This one idea has started a wave of new innovation for the car industry.

Anyone can become a green entrepreneur. The green field is expected to be a $1.5 trillion industry. Many fields have yet to be discovered. The best way to enter into the green economy is to find your green niche. Once you find your niche, you are one step further to being a green entrepreneur.
