It's easy to follow green living tips at home, where you're in control of your thermostat, lightbulbs, printer, food, etc ... but what about at work? Many of the eco-conscious among us lose our nerve in the office.

Danny Seo, the green living consultant, has teamed up with the government -- relax: It's Energy Star, not Big Brother -- to explain some easy ways we can all go green at work.

Here's the Energy Star pitch on the video:

In this tough economy when businesses are looking for ways to reduce expenses, employees can become energy all-stars in their offices, by helping their companies set up energy saving programs to lower utility bills and significantly reduce green house gas emissions that contribute to climate change. Since nearly half of the nation's energy use occurs in buildings where we work, shop, play, making small changes at these locations can have a huge impact on the environment. If we cut energy use in these buildings by just 10 percent, we’d save $10 billion and reduce greenhouse gas emissions equal to that of 15 million vehicles.

Danny, CBS Early Show contributor and renowned environmental lifestyle expert and author of Conscious Style Home, explains easy energy saving changes that employees can make at their own desks, and recommendations they can take to their bosses to get the whole company involved -- like setting up a green team that will help implement energy changes throughout the organization.

In addition to this video podcast, EPA has a number of online tools to help your readers including the interactive ENERGY STAR @ work tool, which shows easy conservation steps that employees can take in a typical workspace. Visitors can also find Energy Saving Tip Cards; and an Energy IQ Quiz.
