Cargill Meat Plant Explodes

180 Evacuated

No one was injured, but 180 people were evacuated from nearby homes, nursing homes and hospitals after a series of explosions and a massive fire Sunday at a plant that processes beef into frozen patties and steaks, according to the Associated Press.

The explosions Cargill Meat Solutions plant in Booneville, Ark. led to the release of ammonia gas, which can be deadly.
