Sara Lee Corp. is raising the price of bread, again, bowing to reduced profits and the high cost of wheat, according to the Chicago Tribune.

While parts of the U.S. wheat belt produced good crops this year, the yield was down across much of Europe, Canada and Australia due to weather-related problems

Freakishly bad weather, like a persistent drought in Australia that some have even warned may not be relieved for years, can't be linked directly to global warming, but experts say we should expect more pronounced and frequent extreme weather events in the future.

And that means the price of bread may never be what it was.
